I actually started 2012 with a 25 straight at a registered shoot in Fairfax. My first registered targets with the new Kolar. Went straight through station 6 on the next round, and then quickly turned my day in to a 92. :-(
Oh well, plenty of more targets on the schedule this year!
The new year is still treating me right...I've shot a 25 every night this week! I haven't missed any doubles at 4 this week either, which is my current focus when practicing. I'll have to enjoy it while it lasts
Weather was nice here today, and so I went and broke a few. It was about 75 deg. and no wind. I will just say it would have been a good score at most shoots. Then ran a box on 3 4 5, but did miss one in the next box of 3 4 5 at the end. oh well, such is practice.

Just to put things in perspective, skeet is a game of 10 bad habits and you get a bag to keep them in that will hold six. Sometimes, you get the bad ones in the bag; sometimes they stuff you in the bag!
My luck in February continues. Started off with a "25" then slipped to a 22. 47/50.
The a local TV reporter showed up and ask to shoot with us, as he was a beginner. He certainly was and we were happy to help him for 2 rounds. This should please the "Skeet Gods" and improve our scores in the future.
The weather will prevent shooting for about 5 days. Time to clean the "firestick" again.
almost cancelled. Small rain drizzle, and light wind. I shot a 98, and a guy on my squad shot a 99 without missing a target. Yup! High 1 with a safety on! Great 99, Nick!! There were 3 other 98's. I missed a H6 Double in the last round. Otherwise, I would have been in a shootoff for my first gun champ! Even the thought of it is exciting. I hope it happens this year!
After my squad, the last squad did get to shoot in some blizzard conditions for a little while.
Miricles never cease. Another '25" today in the 3rd round. Other rounds should have been better: 23/25, 21/25, 25/25, 22/25. Missed both on 3, 1 H1, 1 H2, 1 H4;something like that. I can do better. Why don't I??
I have fallen from grace. I shot today, only 3 rounds because of being on pain killers for my back and hip. My partner was advised to this fact for safety purposes, and no problems were observed; Except for my poor shooting. There was no "25" today, but it did get to 72.
Still for a while there I was getting the "25's" every time I shot.
I see a neurosurgeon Friday AM.
