Got word about a month a from my gun dealer who who told me that FAIR was in the process of building 20 gauge hammer doubles and would I like one?
"DUH YEAH!!"
I was fortunate ones to get one of the first Pedersoli LaBohemienne 12 gauge hammer doubles Canada and love the gun, but my buddy and I both agree if they built a 20 on a scaled frame it would be a fantastic hunting gun.
We lobbied Pedersoli to do that , but it is not really their domain, being more of a replica manufacturer
HOWEVER, in the conversation my gun guy had with them,Luca Rizzini was more than a little intrigued by the idea and decided to forge ahead with it!
I love my FAIR shotguns and when I found out they were inproduction I was over the moon!
My buddy ordered one right away as well and we should have them in our hands by January! :D
These will be the first two in North America (+ 1 for my gun dealer) as far as I know there are 100 only being built .
English stocks and splinter forends case hardened locks, ad screw in chokes on 28" barrels
Can't wait to show you guys pics , we plan to head south for some pheasants when they come in because clays just won't cut it for a test!!

Davide,

FAIR needs better penetration in N. America so I hope somebody is lessoning - maybe someone like Mark Dehann.

I know FAIR is going to be at the SHOT Show this year so maybe a distributorship will
Materialize out of it.

The market up here in is not anywhere near as large as it is Stateside that is for sure!

I am listing! I have been selling these guns since last year! And I must say I have done well with these guns.

I think they are great values.

Here it is !
Came in yesterday.
Apparently Luca Rizzini rolled it out at SHOT this year as well, but ours were already ordered
Image
blind firing pin retainers, and a side plate plug socket instead of a threaded hole help keep the lines clean.
Image
Bold streaks in the stock ( both guns have these) but not a lot of figure
Very light, balances right on the pin and points fast
Image
Coil springs in the locks and laser checkering- gonna have to get accustomed to that!
Image
You are right however John, some engraving would be nice!

I have been very happy with the Rizzini Fair products. All my customers seem to like them.

I am going to meet with the rep next week and see if they can make some changes to the gun. I am hoping they can do some upgrades to it. More engraving, some sculpturing to the frame and hammers, etc.

Will keep you advised

It will be interesting to see what they come up with as per your recommendations, John! :D
We have a case of ammo through both guns now, with hand thrown clays and on the pattern boards.
The chokes are great ( as usual) , but as a bit of a departure from the Norm for me, I have left the FULL/MOD chokes in just to see how they perform on closer hand thrown birds from extreme angles as well as almost straight up.
Situation normal- if I am on the bird with my head down , it gets crushed!!
These guns point and shoot in spectacular fashion.....

The rep brought one by last week. I was pretty impressed. I would have liked it as a higher grade. Maybe I will have something made up. I was not impressed with the checkering, nothing bad.

A do think in could be a good seller.

I will let you know on something special, you will be surprised
