With Remington gone bankrupt and taken over by different companies Rem Oil has vanished from the shelves around me. Anyone else finding it scarce?

Midway shows those products as "temporarily unavailable", so I would take that to mean someone will be bringing it back.

I wonder if Remington even made that oil, but only marketed it under their brand. Will be interesting to see if it comes back via the new owners or directly by whom ever manufactures it.

Remington made guns, mot oil, so I am sure whomever actually made it is still around - perhaps waiting on trademark issues?

Exactly. Some third party made that stuff for Remington. No great loss. There are plenty of other products that are equal to or superior

Go get something good for a change that doesn't get all gummy.

When I went on a inside behind the scene tour at Remington years ago, I saw wonder lube on the benches with rem oil. Was told wonder lube made oil for Rem. There are a lot of good lubes out there.

I use it, but it never was the greatest product. There are a lot of other products available.
