The actions are all the same. The Impact series has lower adjustable ribs that the "basic" Trap series. The Summit has no side plates and light engraving and the Magnus and Maxum have sideplates and upgraded wood and finishes. All are available in O/U, Un-single combo or Top-single combo.

They all shoot GREAT.

Cosmetics.....from engraving to false side plates, wood upgrades to balancing hardware. The basic gun doesn't change until the Impact model. Designed to be a multipurpose target gun. Adequate to use for sporting or skeet as well as trap. Lower profile rib and sporty stock dimensions. Feels fast and racier in handling, but still offers a more heads-up mount, designed for less aggressive as in leaning forward balance skeet forms. A true crossover design that seems to please many. The company has given this model a lot of thought.

As a trapshooter, I prefer the traditional trap design, but have struggled in doubles with mine and may consider an Impact just for that discipline. At the same time I realize the reason my best scores and average was while using a traditional ribbed K-80, with a #6 hanger on the bottom barrel. High first shot and flat second shot. After 20K doubles using the K-80, its hard to change to a different gun.
