Hi all,
I am new, just found this site. Been toying with loading some of those lyman or lee drive key slugs, the fake sabot type. Loading them in standard trap wads and AA hulls. I am sure this has been beat to death on here but please let me know if its a crazy idea or not. I would be shooting out of a fully rifled slug barrel.

Thanks
Reagan

Welcome to the reloading board. Pull up a rock and set a spell.

Yup, loading slugs have been discussed a few times recently. Scan the last 3-4-5 pages and you'll see several slug loading topics.

So as not to reinvent the wheel too much, you might wish to go to http://data.hodgdon.com/shotshell_load.asp and select 'Lead Slugs' for load type, then look around the various powder, primer, wad and hull options.

Whatever loading manuals you have: LYmans, ABCs ... have slug data too. Lee and Lyman have data, also, and there is always Google.
