Universal works well for 3/4 ounce loads in the 20 ga - it patterns really well in my gun. I have loaded Universal in a STS hull, Win primer, CB 1075 wad, and 337 gr #9 shot. I see that other posters have suggested ~15.5 gr of powder. In my gun (30" Briley tubeset w/.005 choke) 15.5 gr gives a mean velocity of 1283 fps, SD of 15, based on ten shots. At 15 gr the velocity was 1248 fps, SD of 11. These were shot through my Oehler 35P chrono.

If you're loading for skeet practice, ~14.5 to 14.7 gr of Universal (STS hull, Win 209 primer) might be a good starting point. That's what I'll try the next time I load Universal.

Also, 13.2 gr of Green Dot in the Rem hull with the above components runs 1191 fps, SD of 14 through my gun.
