#12 shot is great for snakes, rats and mice right at your feet. It is not legal for any of the clay games.
Sell it on Craigs List as ballast or lead for bullet casters. Other than that it would not be accepted by me as a gift.

I don't think it will be of much value for shooting. Perhaps some someone with a sailboat can use it for ballast or maybe someone who casts their own bullets might find it useful.

There was a some REM-UMC brass 20 ga. shells around here for a few years. Loaded with black powder and #12 shot. was told that they were used to shoot birds for museum displays. They did not tear up the feathers too bad. FWIW.

Try an ad. There might be interest from people who load shot capsules for handguns.

I bought 10# of #11 for snake loads.

Small lots I think would be key as that's about the sole purpose.

If you like to shoot hummingbirds or bumblebees, 12 shot would be useful. But ballast is surely a better use for it.

If you go on one of the handgun forums you could probably find buyers for small lots of maybe 5#. We use it for shot loads for pests but 25# would last most of us more than lifetime
