More than anything this post is a test of uploading pics here.

Sat down this week and tried my novice hand at CAD and then printed the files via 3D.

Started with the simple straight rack and progressed to the 10 hole under cabinet carousel.

Very nice - I just use a long pipe cleaner and keep them in numerical order

I use a flat plastic partitioned box about 1-1/4 inch thick, in my case with about 40 1-1/2 X 1-1/2 inch partitioned sections for my inventory of bushings used in my repair work. A smaller size would suffice for individual users. These are available at sporting goods stores. Keeps the bushings properly sorted and clean.

Previously kept mine in a top desk drawer cigar box and when one was needed I could search thru them all over again. This was more an exercise of something to fill time than necessity; a man can only watch so much Youtube you know ;)

I use a thread spool rack I found at a quilting store when I was there with the wife.
Don't laugh, she was at Recobs with me first.

Good job with the pictures and making a rack.

I use a 20 gauge tray for an ammo box. It works great.

Nice. 3D printing could be a fun way to create solutions.

I use either a 28Ga or 20Ga loading block someone gave me. I think it's the 28Ga.

Hey, DL. See you guys maybe next weekend. I've been away from Houston for the past few weeks.

You mean like this in an MTM 20 Gauge tray? :D

Happy New Year All!

Lookey here for the original post regarding the MTM trays:

http://www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=145194

Note the date.

The best feature is there is space for every MEC bushing number.

As shown in the pic; if you mark the bushings on the end as you put them in you can tell at a glance which is the one you want.

If you have extras of a size, just cut a dowel and stack them so they won't fall over.

Best Regards,

Nice designs.

I've just settled on standard components and loads for my 12 and 28 gauge MEC 9000's, so I'm to the point of rarely, if ever, needing to swap bushings. Keeps it simple for me, and I just keep all the extra parts in a box under my reloading bench.

But I do like your design of keeping things organized and accessible for things needed at hand. Well done!

Dobob,

That is what I use too and as Sinjen, I number mine on the top. I keep my extras in the tray under the top tray.

I took a plastic choke case from Carlson's and cut the foam that comes in it to give me 3 strips the length of the case to use as dividers. That gives me 4 slots that hold 4 bushings each. More than enough for all the recipes I use.

I need to find one of those 20 ga MTM cases! I have way too many bushings!

I just purchased one from Buds Gun Shop on line. $6.25 for the 20 gauge, though cheaper for the 12. They had 10 left when I ordered mine yesterday. Box something else with it though as the shipping for it as a single item would have been $9.00.

If you are an Amazon Prime member, you can get it for $5.96 and it will be shipped free to your door in 2 days. Here's the link: MTM 20-Gauge Tray.

Reading all the various methods posted to store bushings and accessories since showing the original design, realized there were better ways of accomplishing what I set out to do. However rather than buying trays off Amazon....had to print my solution to justify the 3d printer$ setting in the back room
