Are there black Winchester AA hulls? If so what loading data would you use? I've not seen them but friends are picking them up at the range and reloading them. I'm concerned that I've not seen any data. They are reloading them just like the grey and red 12 gauge AAHS hulls.
Thanks

there was.
they were coal black and generally had silver writing on them.
they pre-dated the silver hulls.
AA-CF data.

The older compression formed hull in 12 ga came in black, silver and red. They all load exactly the same

They may be the new steel loads. These are not reloadable according to the printing on the shell. The printing wears off when the shell is handled. :)
Check the construction of the hull to see if close to the current AA's. My bet is it closer a straight wall hull.

the low [actual] brass and AA HS would surely differentiate them.

Could be steel shot hulls. Different than the lead shot hulls
.

Also Browning hulls are black win AA. At least in 20ga and 28ga.

Yeah those New Diamond AA's are pretty but I have seen no advantage over
the Super Handicaps other than their cost ! When I cut one open I was surprised
to see +or- 20% copper-washed shot ? I guess it could of been plated but plain
old 4.94 % antimony seem to work just as good !

I have never seen a Winchester AA black 28 gauge nor 20 gauge in current production. ie, in the last ten years at my range.

I said Brownings hulls are actually Win AA, but black, in 28ga.. And Of course the 20ga are yellow, like all 20ga now... mybe my comment was misleading there. And it doesn't say win AA on it, it says Browning. But the hulls are made by win and are AA.

The latest Herters 28ga are also black win Aa hulls, not cheddite any longger. I just bought 2 boxes last week just for the hulls. Like 15$ now too, instead of the 8 they used to be.

OP is asking about black Win hulls not performance. Like I said I've been seeing these in the buckets but never thought to pick few up and cut them open to see if they match up to a HS hull.
