 Post subject: Sporting gun for Trap

I just found a great o/u 12 ga 30 in barrels at a reasonable price.And it is a lefty ! the problem is it is a sporting not a trap gun .can i use it for trap ? and if so do i need to modify much ?! THANK YOU

Main difference with a trap gun, is that trap guns shoot a higher pattern because of a rising target. To get the pattern higher for your gun, you would need to raise your sighting eye by raising the comb. You could do this by adding padding, or have someone install an adjustable comb that could be moved higher. Mark

An adjustable comb should make it good to go for whatever venue you want try, trap, skeet, sporting clays. Just adjust the comb and change out some chokes. Mark
