That length/balance comment is nice to know. Interestingly, I have an old Ithaca Flues with 30 in. barrels and one with 28 inchers. They both come to my shoulder like they were fitted for me. Wonderful to hold and to shoot.

Well Browning refers to their deer and turkey guns (at least BPS) as game guns.

Game gun, Field gun, sometimes in the south I here them called dove guns or quail guns, is it the same thing, possibly not but it could be. I feel like it's a definition thing and many will have their own idea. I know many an older southern gentleman that considered a Browning 16 gauge Auto 5 as a game gun, and any other name you could think of. :wink:

When I read the topic my first thought was it might be like the scriptures, more than one has a different idea as to what they mean. :?
