A 28 GAUGE ?!? what are you shooting ? sparrows ? j/k
Actually..its on my list too...I'm shooting a 20g now,7/8 oz load of 6's for pheasant and I can't complain....of course, once my bp shotgun is up and running I'll be able to readily play with different loads....one thing is,over a good dog,you can shoot just about anything..
so what about this 28g,do tell, you got my interest.......

This is actually my 4th 28 that I own/owned! :D
I love the 20 and the 28 both, I use the 20 for decoyed geese and ducks and the 28 for everything else, but have been know to take the 20 after upland as well.
The FAIR is a Premier, their entry level gun ( in name only).
Pretty much the differences between their lower guns and their upper ones is in the quality of wood and engraving/inlays.
The Premier 28 gauge however, is made on their 2o gauge frame, not their 28.
But this makes for a bit tougher gun IMO, that will stand some heavy pressured field loads of steel and Hevi-shot.

The guns point super, shoot where you look, and are pleasing to the eye.
Service as well is second to none!

What are you shooting? With a 28 gauge just about anything you want.Have used mine for ducks ,clays and upland game.

The 28 gauge is far superior to the .410 and except for the three inch version the equal to the 20 gauge. The 28 gauge can shoot with good patterns anything from the light 1/2 ounce load up to the 1 ounce magnum load.

The 28 gauge in a scaled frame shotgun is the ace in the uplands.Light, low recoil and a great pattern.

South-west Manitoba. Near the "Game Bird Capital of Manitoba", or so they advertise. My Labrador seems to be happy with the location.
