Hey SJ, which part of the City are you in. I'm up on the Northside myself. There is a nice trap and sheet range near Smithville lake. http://www.kctraps.com/. I have not been here, but I'm told a nice sporting clays range called Powder Creek, soory I don't have the URL for that one. There is one in Lawence KS also.

If you have your own thrower, there are several MDC sites you can shoot also. Just look up the web site and you can find the shooting ranges.

I'm in St. Charles, MO and I usually shoot at Busch Wildlife's Shooting Range, but I have shot at Jay. Henges twice. That's a nice facility, both Busch and Jay Henges are supervised by the Missouri Department of Conservation.

More info for those who wish to know more about these two ranges:
Busch
Jay Henges

Yeah...I've heard of the place, but just haven't made it out there yet.
It sounds like a nice place.
Here's their website:

New member --- post #1. :)

Have been a "gun guy" for a LONG time, but am relatively new to shotgunning. I live in Kansas City - just a few miles from the KCI Airport.

Came to this site to learn what I can about shotguns and shotgun shooting. Would also be great to meet some new friends to go shooting with! :)

8)

Southwest of St Louis in Franklin county.
Nearest town is Union.

I am a reloader and casual shooter. I am not a league shooter, still chasing around to kids ball games.

Shoot most often at Henges, Busch and occassionally at the Owensville Gun Club.

My job requires travel. I am always looking for a place to shoot in the evening instead of watching HBO in a hotel room. If you know of such a place in south east Missouri, please pass it on.

Mule

Yup!..... I am a Missourian since birth and currently a Frankiln county resident.

I know of a super-secret free shooting range that was built by the Conservation Department. You can shoot your  AR50  , bumpfire your AK, and shoot trap if you have a throwing device. Only reply if you are a serious shooter and promise not to trash my precious range and I will dis-close the location... or pm me!
