Add a hunting and fishing expo in Corpus Christi September 5-7 and a gun show in October either the weekend of the 11-12 or 18-19

If you would like Jay I can give a heads up on Corpus gun shows since I work most of them.

You guys forgot about the Great Western Show at Fair Park November 7,8, & 9. It's 2500 tables. This is the one that used to be in LA.

Hot dang, this one sounds like fun. The Mesquite show was quite a let down.

The Great Western will be back next spring at the Fair Park, May 8-9. For those who went a couple of weeks ago, we did not make the 2500 tables we were planning on. There's a long story behind that, but for personal family reasons we were forced to cut back late last summer and re-program as a one building, 1500 table show.

For those familiar with the Fair Park, next May we will be going for the 2500 table show in both the Automobile Building (where the first show was) and the Centennial Building. We should have many more modern firearms at the show, as well as the usual assortment of high grade antiques, collectibles, and militaria. Those who used to come out to the L.A. show know that things will never be quite the same (that was a 5300 table show!!), but we hope to build the GWS into the biggest and most entertaining show in Texas.

Hope to see some of you there!

Are you the guy that shot that water turkey on Ray Roberts last year? Just wanted to say, Howdy. Let's meet up for a hunt soon. [/b]

Andrew,
I hope it works, Some vendors have said theyll not be back, others complained about parking and I was told alot of vendors had some seriously high prices. Still put it together ,I and afew others will come. I tried to get the few dealers I know to go! They were afraid of something new!
Dont forget to get those milsurp vendors in....gotta keep us FFL3 folks happy! :D

IceCreamSoldier, I'm just now seeing your post. I'm not sure what happened to my account over the past month or so, or why I didn't get a notice that you had posted, but I think it's all straightened out now.

The November show had some problems, but we think we have them solved for future events, and we are looking forward to the Spring show May 8-9. The parking was ridiculous last time (expensive and badly managed), but the parking will be FREE this time and we have Fair Park's assurance that it will be better handled.

Some of the vendors weren't happy for various reasons, but many of them were and had a great show, and we had several people comment that they haven't seen that quality of merchandise in one place in Texas either "ever", in some cases, or "in a long time", in others. We'll have more vendors this time around, which I hope will give us a good diversity of options for the buying public, and more entertainment and display tables, as well.

If you have specific recommendations for vendors, pm me and let me know, and I'll see what we can do. We want this show to be the best of its kind.

In a couple of weeks I'll be posting here more specific information on the upcoming show, but I wanted to go ahead and get in a response to your recent post.
