Has any body out there had trouble with their 935's operating handle breaking off? Mine has. Not real thrilled with this shotgun. This firearm has jammed, firing pin has hung up and now the operating handle broke off during opening day of second half of season. Is Mossberg the only place to get one or is there an up grade out there?

I don't know if the handles on the 935 and 930 are interchangeable. Take a look here:

If those look like yours MAX100 here is making them. I've beat on mine (literally) and done everything I could think of to tear one up and haven't done it yet.

930 and 935 use the same operating handle, ask Mossberg to send you a couple...

I lost one shooting sporting clays, looked down at one station it was gone... Mossberg sent me a couple...

I also have a NOB, it's a great upgrade!! Makes finding the handle a "no-brainer" when your moving or trying to find your next target....

Thanks for the info. Who makes this NOB? Until I bought this shotgun I was still using my tried and true Western Field 500 30 inch barrel (Montgomery Wards Moss 500) that my parents bought for me for my 16 birthday. I'm 49 now so. That Old Mossy is a gem.

That's what I would like to know too. I have a 930 on order and would like to have a spare. Just in case.

Danger and Herb,

Look at m24shooter's post above and check out the link.

NOB stands for New OVERSIZE Bolt Handle (NOB-930), by MAX100.

You'll see all kinds of nice looking pictures via the link in the post above.

I've been thinking of getting one myself for my 930, but I think I'll go with Smitty's advice first of just asking Mossberg for a few, and then get the NOB later.

I went to that link and didn't find where to order that part. I googled for MAX100 and found nothing.

MAX100 is the username for Craig at Gun Connection. His email is: gunconnect@prtcnet.com
More info and pics at:

Most of the pics are of the 1st gen NOB. I will be updating the review with the new version soon.

Thanks for the link. I send him an email.
I don't want to build a HD weapon. Our government in Canada tells us we don't need one. The police is taken care of us. Yea right. I want one of those NOBs because I think it would help when wearing gloves while hunting.

That's part of what it is for. It makes it very easy to manipulate the bolt with gloves on.
Depending on how thick your gloves are, you should be able to get a hold on the bolt handle and sweep it with the NOB. I haven't had any problem using it with either flight gloves, padded shooting gloves, Hatch and Oakley shooting gloves, ski gloves, and the ECWCS winter gloves.
