I was given a lefever grade A 20 gauge shotgun for christmas from my father-in-law. I know very little about the gun and have done some research online about the lefever history but haven't found to much about the value of the gun. I fell in love with the gun quite a few years back and was pleasantly suprised to be given the gun for christmas.

thanks!!!!

I'm assuming you're talking about an Ithaca Lefever A Grade as opposed to a Syracuse Lefever Grade A. They're a drssed up version of a Nitro Special and the 20 bores, in excellent condition are worth in excess of $2000.. A Syracuse Lefever Grade A would be worth at least 10 times that.. Ithaca only made 2400 A grades.. Let us know which you have.. pics would be nice...Bushrod

the barrel say's ithaca ny so i would assume an ithaca, i don't have pics just yet but i will take some and post them soon. also would you know an approx. date as well. the barrel and rec is in excellent condition, they look brand new and there hasn't been any reconditioning that i'm aware of. the stock on the other hand has some flaws, a few chips and just general usage type stuff. since receiving this gun i have really become very intrested in old guns, this could be an expense hobby!!!! Any other info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!!!

s.n 300178 thank you!!! I took the gun to cabela's last night and they est. it to be worth about 2000. they did say the barrel had been re-blued? He also said to use some fine steel wool on the stock if I wanted, does that sound right?
