Hi Dan,

Last year in one of my posts to you, you had mentioned a 12g 3" more than likely available "sometime next fall"... any new news on that? Thanks.

Hi Dan,

I JUST now noticed/read your recent post (Product line) regarding the 12g 3" inch load... if you have anything to add, by all means let 'er fly... Otherwise I look forward to what will probably be a good Canadian load (I do a lot of goose hunting at Pymatuning). Thanks!

randyabb,

The biggest problem I have encountered lately has been being able to meet the minimum order requirements for the manufacturer. Being a smaller order gets run when they are caught up on everything else. I don't blame them either, when you're setting up a machine that can produce 2500+ rounds an hour a small run isn't economical for them. I'm in the process of expanding and being able to do more myself.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Dan

Any recommendations for a good reloader if I choose to go the reloading route? (For 3" and even 3.5")

Some might disagree with me but a simple MEC 600 jr. will work fine. I'd suggest the steel shot conversion kit though for larger shot sizes. It makes it work smoother.

I've heard good things about that MEC model, but just to check, will it also load a 3.5" as well? (I went on the MEC site and it states it loads 2 3/4 and 3, but I'm guessing there might be a conversion kit...) I didn't see one on the site.

Good question and I'm not sure because I haven't used a 3-1/2" 12 yet. Check Precision Reloading also, they have a great tech line.

Just for sport you should try the 12 gauge 2-3/4" 1-3/8 ounce #2 goose load.

I know you'll be impressed!
