I'm thinking about trying some Niceshot for ducks mostly. I've been looking on the RST web page and there is a lot of choices. I/we shoot mostly decoying ducks. What would my best option be? shot size, velocity, amount of shot. I'm shooting an SBEII

When hunting ducks I usually take my O/U 16ga. loaded with 1 or 1-1/8 oz of #5 or #6 works well out to 45 yards. 1st barrel mod, 2nd full. Most of my loads are in the 1250 fps range.

In the 16ga, have used 1oz, 1 1/16oz and 1 1/8 oz payloads.
All over 1300fps.
Size #5 and #6.
12ga, used #5 1 1/16 oz loads, 1350fps.

What choke are you using with these loads When I tried to get a 16g a load over 1300 fps, I got patchy patterns. 1250 with a MOD choke worked for me. But interested what works for others.

Skeet, IC, Modified
With the Longshot loads, I have never experienced poor patterns with higher velocity.
Have used Universal too, puts me in 1300+ range too, no problems
