Spent a few days last week doing the design of the new Orvis Shooting Grounds at Pursell Farms in Alabama. This is a spectacular venue and Orvis is actually building a retail store on site. They will also offer their shooting school there, as I also designed four separate training fields for the school in addition to a beautiful sporting clays course, 5-Stand and Mountaintop Flurry game with multiple wobble traps. This will be a destination location for wing and clay shooting as well as golf, since the top rate public golf course is a part of Pursell Farms. We're rolling as they want an October 1 opening for the shooting club. Check the place out at www.pursellfarms.com.

Very nice, Marty. First class. I like that 5-stand setup.

And even I could probably hit those fairways with most of my drives. :D

Actually we're relocating the 5-Stand to a location closer to the Orvis store, but I'm using the current 5-Stand location as the final station on the clays course. It will be a spectacular setting with a high tower bird from the left and a beautiful battue coming from the other direction. You know the setting....it will be beautiful pair of birds to finish off the course.

What? You were in my neighborhood and didn't tell me? Surely you needed a 'tester' or someone to paint something. Give me a holler.

Scheduled to do the installation and target setting for all venues next week. They'll be rolling Oct.1 or just before. Finalizing some tower deals (lifts) this week. Will have one, maybe two (42') on the sporting clays course and another on the Orvis Shooting School training venues. This will be a beautiful place with lots of detail in how it looks, really fun targets and a great Orvis retail store for a Pro Shop. Did I mention the #1 public golf course in Alabama, great lodging and a fabulous restaurant are already there. They will also have quail hunting and driven pheasant shoots. The Orvis Shooting Grounds at Pursell Farms will be worth the price of admission.

The current 5-Stand will become station 12 with three shooting positions. There will be a 42' tower on this station along with another really cool target. Lots of options for some great presentations on this station. Also being set up as a photo station if you want a cool pic with your squad.
