Just picked this up. Seems to be very well built and very similar to the weatherby sa08. Nice fit and finish all around. It has a 30" barrel and seems barrel heavy which should allow for good follow through. 25 ish light rounds through it so far and no issues.

Nice looking 28ga. How far has does it toss the hulls? The 1100 28ga I had tossed them into
next week....got tired of hunting for them.

The reloads I am shooting which are light loads, only about 2 or 3 feet. I will run some factory aa and see how they toss soon.

Put 100 more rounds through it last night with no issues. Looking to be a good little gun.

Interesting... what are you using in a light load? Will be interesting to see how the factory loads eject.

It's 13.5 grains of solo 1250 with a win primer in a STS hull. It will not cycle my sa08 with the heavy piston and once and a while won't eject with the light piston. The wife sure likes the load though. Next putting I'll run some factory loads through it.

Shot some factory AA loads through it and it tossed them only about a foot further. It sure ain't a hull launcher.

Thanks for the update, that will work out perfect for me. My 1100 would shoot the hulls
anywhere from 8-12'.

Just an updated report. Now that duck season is over I finally am getting out and shooting it more and the more I shoot it the more I like it. I need to add a little weight to the butt stock as its muzzle heavy but its still killing clays just fine. Looking to run out here in an hour or so and put a couple hundred more rounds through it again today :D

I ordered one last week and should take about a week to get here. Already thinking of adding weight to the rear to balance it out and shim it for lefty use.

Did yours require any breakin period to be reliable?

No break in for my gun. Just cleaned it really good and everything has functioned great.

Just Need to get out shooting it again now that we're finally getting back down below a 100 degrees again finally.

Sorry for not following up in a long time but just an update. The Tri star is still going strong and it's liked so much I've added a plain g2 wood with the 26" barrel for hunting.

I just bought the wood 26" model from Centerfireguns.com for $374 shipped.
Looking forward to shooting it. Shells are cheaper than 410s with a lot better range and payload. Academy has the Winchester AA 7.5 shot Sporting Clays loads at 1300fps for 8.99/box.

The new gun functioned great over the opening weekend of the season.
