I’m putting together a 11-87 trap gun for my son and need a good shell catcher. I have one of those metal clip on jobs on my 1100 and it works very well.

Anyone have one or two laying around they would part with ? It seems they aren’t available new any more and ebay doesn’t list any.

Let me know. Thanks.

Thanks for that, everyone else has been “out of stock”.

I imagine those are the newer plastic ones that folks seem to have a few problems with. Anyone have experience with them ?

I’d like to find a couple of the older spring steel ones.

I've used the plastic one on my Beretta and it worked fine but, I'm not the heavy duty trap shooter only about 3 flats through my gun. I use this on my SX1 and it's better if you don't mind the looks https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1014987481

I have one of those on a right handed 20 ga. gun. I didn’t mention this is for a left hand 11-87 and 1100.

I may go with the plastic ones on this site provided by Roy. I imagine they are China made, the metal I know were USA. Hoping someone had a couple languishing in a drawer somewhere.

PM Inbound! :D

McFarmer, I hope you see this cuz, talk about pure coincidence but, about a couple hours ago I happened to see Midway has these on CLEARANCE 1/2 PRICE OFF - while I was browsing pistol holsters!

Birchwood Casey Save-It 12 Gauge Shotshell Shell Catcher Steel:

As I type this they had 16 remaining in stock for a whopping $6.44 each, what a hoot!

LOL, so many members here have pulled my keister outta the fire, it’ll feel good to do someone a good turn, as well! {hs#

Best o’ Success!

Thanks thor_sen, I didn’t know they were available in left hand versions. Even with shipping that makes them pretty reasonably priced.

So glad you received the info!

Ha-ha, if you go to their “Clearance” section and start with the 50% -75% off category, it ain’t hard to make the shipping worthwhile.

It’s a real gamble to place items in your wish list and cross your fingers they will notify you when they do their “Free Shipping over $49 purchase total” but, given your situation I am not sure I’d want to take the chance some vendor who sells items at gun shows or out of a both at the big shoots snaps up all 16 of those shell catchers!

Best o’ Success to you & yourn! {hs#
