I really like that "reaching for the trigger" feel. Otherwise I tend to over-grip the trigger and not let it go.

I just want my finger-tip to slap the trigger.

I have tried out several and just couldn't make myself believe that I would get used to it. I love the feel and handling qualities of several that I have shot, the grip was really the only thing holding me back. All of my friends that shoot them are like you Sera, they prefer the feel of the grip/trigger. It just doesn't work for me. Luckily my DT-10's handle nicely as well and they shoot where I'm looking. If it's working no need to fix it I suppose.

As an MX12 owner (in fact an HPX DSR) Perazzi guns do handle differently - as described previously they tend to balance between the hands and the barrels have more mass towards the chambers so will swing easily but controllably...not 'whippy'. Perazzi make barrels to specific weights (stamped on the monoblock in Grams), from memory there are about 9 different bore sizes for 12g depending on personal preference/intended purpose, ribs, wood work styles and stock profiles are all use specifiable.

One should also not lose sight of the fact that one really can't tell from either the gun or the scant documentation that gets even when brand new whether the gun has been made for someone specifically (it doesn't cost any more) or for a gun store to sell off-the-shelf, its been my experience that no two are exactly the same.

I always get a kick how tonz of folks look at a shotgun as a "whole" as in Brownings never fit me or every Rem 1100 fits me perfectly; when the heart an soul of every shotgun is the stock. Which means every shotgun can fit every person with the correct stock. Sure it may cost $$ to have said stock made but no matter the steel, it's always about the wood.

Yup, the perfect gun is the iron you like with a stock that fits.

I do not think it is just about the wood. Fit, maybe yes. but the barrel weight, rib height, dimensions of the receiver, the way your eye is drawn to the muzzle, all play a part in how it handles. I think. I moved a stock from one Beretta SP sporting to another. The new one feels better to me and I hit more targets.

It sure isn't as simple as what brand, what action type or what stock dimensions...

It's a joy when you find that one shotgun that is "just right" for you. And frustrating that you can't seem to make your other shotguns feel the same.

If you want a more a "lively" gun add some weight to the stock. Balance is what we get used to. Control is what we are looking for. Controlling the point and having complete confidence in the trigger timing/barrel relationship to the target is key. Stock fit guarantees that the back sight(dominate eye) doesn't wonder changing the POI while moving to the target.

From there its only about experience.
