What are the best magazines for sporting clays shooters? I used to subscribe to Sporting Clays, but haven't in years.

ClayShootingUSA
Clay Target Nation
Shotgun Sports magazine

All are great. ClayshootingUSA has better shoot reports, Shotgun Sports includes Hunting related materials and alot of product reveiws. CTN has alot of Training related articles and "shooter spotlight" type articles.

Clay Shooting from the UK (I get it via download) is sometimes decent.

I beg to differ; Shotgun Sports is NOT a great magazine. It's not even a good one. That is a sorry rag, in my opinion, and would NEVER recommend it to anyone.

I very much disagree with the statement that Shogun Sports is not a good magazine. I enjoy it very much and learned a lot from it. I find it most enjoyable.

Clay Target Nation training/coaching articles are generally good. No doubt the 30 year old factor is applied with exception. John Shima, Clayton Rue and Gil Ash are still chasing the “ State of the Art”.
The “scores” should all be on line.....but then there wouldn’t be a CTN.

I get Sporting Shooter from UK and the NSCA magazine. The NSCA mag hardly gets opened. The UK rag is interesting in that i've learned we must be very, very careful to protect ourselves from Brit ideology when it comes to gun and hunting rights. There is a lot to be learned from the UK on this.

Have yet to see another clays magazine worth buying. Not so much the magazines fault as it is just a dud subject. Anything written about a particular gun is just ad copy and how many times can you restate what leads should be on crossers?
