Is the Hy-Wyd Anti-Reflective Coating worth the extra $70 per lens set? I am contemplating on getting their Clays Package and the coating would essentially double the price.

I used to think AR coating was just a way to suck more money out of a customer's pocket, but now I wouldn't have glasses without it. Getting old teaches you things.

Just got a new pair of lenses with the AR coating from Decot and while not welders goggles it definitely was an improvement. $$70 seems high initially but I checked with optometrist and they get $125 on RX lenses.

Whenever my RX changes will definitely buy it

This is helpful, thank you. Are some colors more susceptible to glare than others? Apparently AR coating also makes the order non-returnable which seems pretty bad for a $500 set.

I would suggest giving Decot a call and tell them what you are looking for.
I chatted with them for 15 minutes and told them my issues
After discussion went with a light Vermillion and AR coating and it has helped
I had been using target orange for 30 years according to their records!
So I was dubious about change but will go with same combo went I need new RX

I've had prescription glasses with and without AR. I can see the difference. I ordered my Decot with AR and have been very satisfied. DO NOT use anything but prescribed glasses cleaner. Windex and other household glass cleaners will remove the AR in pretty short order.

I have been using their Lt. Med Rose since I've started shooting SC's, but this year tried their ColorMag/CMT Med. and all I can say is WOW! These are also RX lens w/AR!
