Just was wondering if Oilfield Shoots were anything special or if anyone can sign up. Also, would they count towards NSCA all American points? I’ve looked all over but can’t seem to find anything about them, hope y’all can help!

Most of them are open to the public. Just depends on the shoot.
I haven't seen one that was NSCA registered. Not saying there aren't; I just haven't seen one. If not registered with the NSCA then doesn't apply to NSCA or Alll American points.

In Louisiana and Texas , sometimes but not often an Oilfield shoot is also set up as a NSCA shoot. If so , then All Am points and punches can be earned.

Otherwise not.

For many years , here on the South coast , oilfield companies threw shoots for their guys plus customers plus "ringers". A lot of loot was given away or could be won (like long bird contests). Once in a blue moon , these were also registered thru NSCA.

Mostly the targets were easier than NSCA , and generated a false sense of security to the shooters , who would then try NSCA targets and get their butts handed to them.

Best way to find out go to NSCA web site under “sporting clays” select “events” drop dn menu select “find a shoot”, put in the state and scroll dn thru the dates if a shoot is registered it will be on this schedule.
