Wal Mart sells a brand new 870 Express with a laminated wood stock and 28 inch barrel for 287 dollars every day. Do not consider anything else. I own dozens and dozens of shotguns today, but that 287 dollar Express is all the gun I would ever need for anything. All the others are luxuries, and really don't point handle and shoot hardly any better.

A Wingmaster is a prettier gun, and right now I'm in love with one I picked up in a pawn shop. But it doesn't work or shoot or last any longer than an Express.

SuperXOne- I agree with 90% of what you post, but on this issue we are miles apart. I have repaired and attempted to smooth out too many Expresses to even want them to enter my house any more. NO quality control. I am glad for you that you have a good one. You better hang on to it.
