If you were looking for the best semi-auto 20 ga. for dove, quail and the 5 or 6 times a year gun club trips and had unlimited funds . what shotgun would you buy? I know this is dumb question, but i'm just trying to get in the ball park. labor day weekend i bought a wheatherby sa-08 and i am not happy with it at all, if i knew it was made in turkey, i would not have bought this gun. Thanks for your help.

I would have been looking at, listed in alphabetical order:
Beretta, Browning, Remington.
All of these brands offer semi-autos at about the same price you paid for the Weatherby.

I own three Weatherby O/Us and two bolt rifles with their name on em.....love em all......but buy an auto shotgun made in Turkey from anybody is not something I'd do on purpose......that might sound silly cause I got four Russian shotguns that I've never had problem one with.....go figgure......Art

I'll add Benelli, but Beretta and Reminton would be where I would look. Just my .02 I like those two guns.
Did it break? You found out it doesn't fit? Too heavy, too light? Seems for the amount you are going to shoot, it will fit your needs. Someone tell you it's junk?

Also just curious to know why you are not happy with the gun--might help others who are thinking about getting one if it is due to mechanical problems/poor workmanship.
