In Houston go to American Shooting Centers and ask for the contact information on Deb Cleverdon. She should be on the NSCA web site mynsca.com deb is great with novice to intermediate shooters She is an experienced NSCA Level II instructor.

You can go to http://shooterspagetx.com/ and post you questions for instructors. As you are starting out a NSCA level I or II is what you need rather than the top pf the line instructors.

Good luck

Goobs, If youll look under NSSA instructors, there are 11 in NY. There didnt appear to be any in Buffalo but Ill bet if you contact one fairly close, youll be able to make accomodations for a skeet lesson. Best of luck.

Houston area, Jay Herbert much more established and well thought of instructor than Deb, also you can always go the Bobby Fowler route! In Dallas, Austin Dan Carlisle is head and shoulders above any one in that part of state. I am sure there are others worthy but these are some of the very best out there.

Anyone in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota?
Even a mentor would do.
New to shotgunning and would like to start safe.
Thank you.

I am looking for a shooting instructor or mentor in Des Moines, Iowa. I am a medical student here and would like to learn to shoot and handle my firearm with proficiency. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Allen

I'm in sunny southern California and would be happy to instruct/guide any new shotgun shooters in the Inland Empire or Orange County.
PM me, we'll have fun.
