I have done this on my CYnergy CX Composite 32". Took less than 1 minute, and no tools. I actually did it while waiting for my turn on station 1.
I like it a lot this way - never really questioned that I could have extractors instead of ejectors. Ah!

Yes, I did it, too, on my 16ga Citori Lightning and it has worked like a champ. Many thanks, Rastoff.

Century Spring Corp. C-580 springs, available at Ace Hardware (and I imagine elsewhere as well) in a package of five springs for $3.99 worked perfectly for the conversion in my 12ga Citori CX.

Thank you for the excellent instructions!

My 2016 citori 725 fore end bracket was also glued by the factory in the middle to the wood fore end stock and I've tried to "pop" it wiggle it with no luck in separating it from the wood.

Any ideas on getting it separated from the wood without cracking the wood? The glue is in the groove in the wood where the spring guide pins attach to the bracket

I called Browning and they said there's glass in the groove in the wood near the middle screw. They suggested I remove the 2 screws closest to the muzzle and then gently tap a punch through the middle screw hole to loosen the fore end bracket from its fiberglass embed. I loosened the 3rd screw near the breech and tapped gently away. Bracket came loose in a few minutes. New springs raise shells perfectly without ejecting them.

Does anyone know if this will work in a 2016 725? Not sure after reading above about glass in the groove

The weaker springs should do the trick.

Gents,
I'm looking to buy a NEW Cynergy, has the mechanics of the new changed at all? Thus, would the process outlined here of converting a Cynergy's ejectors to extractors stay the same? Just checking.....
Thanks in advance & have a great wknd!

I can't say for sure because I haven't held a new Cynergy in a long time. However, I haven't heard of any changes in the design.

Of course, they can be checked very easily. Just pop the forearm off and look to see if the sears are in there. You can pop them out in seconds.
