I've owned several Browning Gold shotguns and one Silver, all wood models. But I've never shot a Maxus. How does the Maxus stack up against the Silver and Gold models? Costs more. Handle better? Recoil? Reliability? Does the 3" Maxus model handle the 3" magnum shells well? Thanks.

They are all pretty similar. The Silver does not have the speed loading of the Gold and Maxus. The Silver does not have a cutoff switch but can cut off the rounds by pushing up slightly on the carrier while pulling the bolt back. Not all of the Gold models have the cutoff switch but, most do. All of the Maxus models have the cutoff switch. The Silver has amid height rib which os from the Gold Fusion. The maxus and other Golds have a low rib.
