I inherited the above gun and am either selling it or converting for a grouse/woodcock gun. Can anyone provide the all the stock dimensions for a skeet gun and weight?

Also want to confirm that i can replace the stock with any stock for a 12ga 1100?

thanks

You got the gun in your possession, right? Then do it yourself. Get a straight edge and lay it along the top of the rib, extending back over the stock. Then measure the distance from the straight edge to the comb and the heel. This will give you drop at the comb and heel. Determine length of pull by measuring from the trigger face to the butt plate. Finally, weigh the gun and you're done. It took longer for me to write this on my Kindle than it will take for you to do the work.

The length of pull should be 14 inches, as new. If that is what it measures then all the other dimensions are likely to be their "as new" dimensions. Further proof that you have an unaltered gun is if it still has the Remington butt plate. The stock, where the plate fits, should be curved to accommodate the plate. If it is straight then the stock has been altered.

The standard dimensions are 1.5-2.5-14 with a thin white spacer under a curved plastic Remington butt plate. Any 12 gauge 1100 or 11-87 stock will fit it (only a Standard Weight 20 gauge forend will fit).

Thanks for the specs. It has been altered as it has a pachmayr pad installed. LOP is still 14 But DAC is 1" and DAH is 1.5". I assume it is a remington stock as it has the diamond.

with the weight at 7.75 lbs it will be going up for sale.

Sounds like it was or was set up as a trap model.

20 ga trap?

My grandfather gave it to my stepmother to shoot skeet so it may be possible that he put the skeet barrel on after the fact and the high comb fit her better.

would remington be able to tell me the original configuration if i email them the serial#?

Nope. They did not keep any such detailed records, not even close. I have seen a lot of people shoot casual trap with a 20.
