I have a model 37 in the 91,000 range. Numbers between 69999 to 92000 are not posted by year on the Snyder book list. Was there a special run during WW2 ?

they used them SN blocks for separate models
for instance 70,000-79,000 was used for solid rib guns

70000 to 79000 are on the serial number chart. numbers between 69999 to 92000 are not.

Guns from this mystery serial number block show up from time to time. I believe a number of factors come in to play here. To start take into account hand written records that are not always accurate combined with lost records. Add to that abrupt shut down for WWII with a number of sub gauge components put into storage followed by a quick ramp up for civilian post war production. Of course there are sketchy records for riot / military 12 gauges produced during the war in a time where rushing arms to the front was more important than accurate record keeping. I have a 20 gauge in the 69xxx block that I believe to be a lunch box special with a number of "seconds" components.

Your 69xxx would be made in 1943, according to the serial number chart.

the 80,000-89,000 block was reserved for skeet and trap guns
I don't think they used every number in the block.
they gave up using the blocks in early 50's

My 37 with the uncharted serial number 918xx is a 20ga, 26" full choke with my favorite type of slim checkered fore end and checkered pistol grip stock. The gun is well used and has been D&T on the top left side of the receiver. Without more information my conclusion is the gun was made in 1944-45, before post war production started with the number 92000. Thanks for your input.
