I have an Aunt that still lives in Upper Sandusky. I was able to get a few details about the area from her. There are two restaurants that may be able to handle a group of people for an event a Bob Evens and an East of Chicago pizza. For the kids there is a putt - putt, an ice cream stand and a public park; perhaps a few games could be planned. Other than that there is not to much else. It really is a small town.

There are a couple of gun shops that are customers of mine north of town on S.R. 53.
One is Johnson,s Hunting & Fishing, located just south of McCutchenville, and the other it The Mountain Man, located on the south side of Tiffin.

That all sounds great guys. Ian I know my boys would really like all of that.

And I would love the gunships too BP!

I have an email into Mr. Farrell just confirming everything, and asking for some ballpark figures on the shooting and the meal at the range. I'll let you know as soon as I hear.

What do y'all think about starting a seperate thread as a tentative sign up sheet after Christmas? That would give everyone time to get over all of the holiday craziness, and give us plenty of time to see about how many to expect.

Let me know what you think.

Quick question for you, Colonel.
Do you know what kind of shooting that we will be doing? I need to start making up some loads, and don't know whether to load up 7/8 or 1 oz. :D

I am basically a lurker here....but love the site, and LOVE my lil M37 featherweight. This even sounds fun, and I love down by Columbus so it would just be a nice drive up. If I might invite myself that is...lol.

I haven't shot in several years for varying reasons, so might embarrass myself trying to shoot clay pigeons as thats about all I have done beside shooting partridges and pheasants, and thats been years back as well. Boy do I miss those days.

So I will kepp my eyes on this and see if I can attend.

BP I have an email into Mike Farrell, but I haven't heard back from him yet. I hope to hear by the first of the week.

Ohlomike, welcome aboard. We'd love to have you!

Budoka34, this is open to everyone that loves Ithaca's, and I'm sure that I can speak for the Colonel and say that we'd love to have you. You too,Ohiomike! :D
Read back over the posts, as there are deals made for motels, etc.
I can't get there until Wed. eve., so I'm going to miss out on the tour (darn work), but I'll be up to shoot.

BP that sounds great! I hadn't heard anything from Mr. Farrell yet. I just finished typing him another email. I'll pass along what he says!

I'll bring the ultrafeatherlight!

I just heard from Mr. Farrell this afternoon. He's been out, and won't be back in until next week. He says that when he gets back to the plant he'll finalize everything for us then!

Thanks guys for your help your patience and your planned attendance. I think we'll have a great time. I know that our good friend 1977cutcher has been snooping out some eating places in the area etc... Shooting, Ithacas, good folks, and food. Some of my favorite things in life!

I met Mike, along with Mr. Walt Snyder, several years ago. Good guys. Wish I did not have other obligations that weekend because I would surely like to make that trip with the family - bring the son for a tour.

It looks like I may be free. I will probably bring my dad and a pile of Ithaca's. I better start stocking up on some ammo. I look forward to hopefully meeting everyone that can attend. I think my brother is headed to Spain and Denmark during that time frame.
