Value and/or date of mfg help us help you, will need:
Model #, barrel(s) length, choke(s), plain, solid rib, vent rib, stlye of stocks, plain walnut, checkered, to date it will need the S/N like this 654xxx or 1566xxx you get the idea.
Note: dating a Post 64 gun is not as easy as the pre 64 guns. Not much has been published.

Model 1300 Black Shadow, Winchokes, 22" Turkey vent Rib Barrel (Stamped Turkey 2-3/4, 3in chamber), Black Stock.

Winchester Model 1400 20ga Skeet, 99.5% condition. 26" Duck Bill ventilated pinned rib barrel stamped WS1. Double beads, front Bradley style, mid bead silver metal. Matte finish top receiver, polished receiver sides, jewelled bolt, pressed fleur-de-lis checkering on nicely figured walnut stock. Winchester red recoil pad. Serial # 181xxx
Value is of little concern to me as it's not a high end highly sought gun, am curuios though about date of mfg.
Thank You,
Canuck

I just got a Winchester shotgun from my father in law. It appears to be a 1897 model with a 28-30 inch barrel. It is marked with a "12 F" o the barrel which I assume means 12 gauge, full choke. Wood appears to be walnut in very good condition with no checkering and it does have a rounded semi pistol grip. Serial # is 71984 with C over the 9 in the number. I am in the dark about these guns and would like an estimated value and date of manufacture for insurance purposes.
Thanks for your help.
