My SX1 should be arriving any day now and I plan to use this thread to help me take it apart. Thanks for writing it up.

rjk.

As far as I go I clean it after every shoot - sometimes a thourough deep clean and others just quick wipe and light oil.

Keep eye on buffer - if it looks quite worn just change it they are a cheap expendable item - otherwise you could change recoil spring every 2 years or 20k rounds which ever come's first - There are no hard and fast rules - provided it's clean and oiled regulary it will be fine.

Read through the post's on here for more info - There is a mine of info contributed by other owners - read those and you can't go wrong.

Happy shooting

Dave

How light a load can you shoot with Wrights rebound assembly.

I only ever shoot 28g - 1oz loads - so can't say for sure if you want to shoot lighter load that they will work.

I did start off putting Wright's magnum recoil springs in but over the years reverted back to normal ones. - Point being if you have magnum recoils spring in anything less than 28g might struggle to eject or load.

To be honest I never even tried to see what other loads it would handle but now with Beretta A300 I have tried 24g and 21g.

Texas Ton who loaded his own produced some very effective 24g load's which I did try when over there - If he hadn't have told me I wouldn't have known - He was fanatical with his gun and it was smoothest I have ever felt.

Thanks for the heads up on Photobucket - Thing is I handed this thread over to another UK shooter and it looks like he hasn't been on for a while - Due to my old fuzzy brain I can't remember his user name - I am going through my email addresses to see if I can find him.

If you know anything about Photobucket give me a clue to what I should be looking for so pictures show up - Have looked but couldn't see anything obvious - If I can find it and if I still have the pictures I will update but I am sure all pictures went to the other guy.

It's been quite a while since I dropped by on here.

Dave

PS - senior moment here - I use PictureTrail so these are pictures from the other UK member - sorry about that
