This gun came in last week and it is definitely the highlight of my collecting. Pictures don't do it justice. A very special thanks to the people who helped me acquire it.

1914 model 12 20 gauge
25 inch solid rib full choke
Black Diamond wood
Engraved by Angelo Stokes
Gun appears to be original.

Very nice, congratulations. I don't have anything on that level, maybe someday.

Awesome. A very hard to find and even harder to acquire Winchester. Quite possibly one of the holy grail of Model 12s. Congrats to you.

Not to change the subject, but does anyone know where the advertised "Bing Crosby" Model 12 ended up? I heard an unconfirmed rumor that it may have changed hands again? IDK.

I'd venture to guess that over 95% of Winchester collector don't have one like that, nor will acquire one like that.

It's a rarely seen engraved Model 12.

So maybe you're saying if I ever am lucky enough to acquire one I shouldn't ask about installing tubes ?

McFarmer, I got a pretty good laugh out of that. I bet a post like that would bring a little life back into this forum.

A beautiful example of an early factory engraved 12 and in excellent condition too!

I bet it would shoot slugs good too, put a side mount on that receiver with a vintage Weaver 4x scope and then you'd have something, LOL.

We all do what we can.

But seriously, I'm glad some folks dedicate themselves to preserving such things.

One of the best early factory engraved black diamond guns I've seen in a long time. My hats off to you on such a rare bird. Congrats, Butch

Thanks for all the kind replies. It's definitely a thing of beauty. 104 years old and to think it has survived all these years. To me, guns like this makes putting in the long hours well worth it.

Don't think I have any of the trigger guard, it is engraved though. Serial number dates to 1914.

Congrats! and pardon my ignorance of the finer guns but wouldn't that be a Model 1912?
Did the factory commission the engraving or the original owner?
