I am in the market for a pump action shotgun and need some help. I am going either with a 870 super magnum or a supernova, i know the 870 only comes with a modified choke, and was wondering if the same goes with the supernova. If i get the 870 i am going to buy a better stock and fore grip and a 10 round magazine extension.
The SuperNova comes with 3 chokes, IC, Mod. and Full. I have the SuperNova and have had the Remington Super Mag as well. The Benelli is a much better built gun. It has a shorter stroke, can be field stripped and less prone to braking. Just my 2 cents worth.
+1 I have the Supernova as well and I LOVE it. It breaks down really easy & is a very fun gun to shoot (even shooting big ole' 3 1/2" turkey loads). I wouldn't trade it for two 870's, even though I think the 870 is a good gun . I don't think you'd be disappointed with the Supernova AT ALL. Best of luck in your decision.
Yeah, IC, Mod, and full. I have one too, and I love the comfor-tech. My girlfriend was able to shoot for the first time w/o any problems w/ recoil (target loads).
