i just picked up my red label last night.

it is from a limited run of 126 with stainless barrels over walnut stock and forend.

ruger only made 126 with 26 in barrels and 126 with 30 in barrels. i'm pretty excited to have it. going to try it out tomorrow.

i'll post a picture when i get a chance.

i went through a small local gunshop. when i told him what i was looking for, and he showed this to me. he said $1050, but i think he regretted it. it was the cheapest he let one of these go for. i think taxes cost more than his profit on it. but $1050 it was.

i got to shoot it the other day, and love it so far. i noticed that there is a slight rattle in the forearm.
is there anything that can be done about that?

Sounds like a good price on the gun. Don’t know much about Rugers personally, but I am sure someone can help.

Do a search on "rattle" and you will find others who have red labels with the same thing. I think it just the nature of the gun.

I've read other threads that comment on the forearm rattle in thier Red Labels. Mine doesn't rattle so I can't help you there. In fact, I've tried hard to make mine rattle but can't.
