Just joined the forum and just read the Verona section.

Traded a couple Rugers for $2800 in new guns - one was a Verona 20 ga. semi auto.

Shot skeet with it and the shell carrier hung up some 5-6 times. Was using Herters quail and dove loads. Do I need heavier shells to cycle the action? Yes it was cleaned and well lubed. The 'jam' was fixed just by pushing the carrier bolt.

Any advice, just breakin, user heavier loads?

The old original Verona company semi's were made in Italy or Turkey depending upon the model. So without more information there's not much we can offer. I think (not 100% sure) that the Turkey made guns were the same as Escort semi's. Italian guns were by Bernardelli. But don't hold me to this since I haven't owned either one and that's going back maybe 10 years?
