Nice Beretta O/U field gun in great shape. Locks up tight like new, 28" barrels are clean and shiny, LOP 14". Some small dings on the stock that shows it was loved and used. A great opportunity to get into a quality Beretta O/U for your trap, skeet, sporting clays or hunting. Includes everything you see - shotgun, Beretta hard travel case, chokes, choke wrench and even the original box and documentation that came with it from Italy! Chambered for both 2-3/4" and 3" shells, automatic safety with barrel selector, selective ejectors, and Beretta's Mobilchoke screw in choke tubes with seven chokes (2-Mod, 2-IC, 2-Full, 1-Skeet) included. Proofed in 1993 based on the Berretta proof code BC stamped on the barrel. Thinning my collection, as this didn't get much use from me with sporting clays - I ran maybe 200 rounds through it since I owned it. Time for it to go to a new owner who will give it more work. I have placed a very reasonable price on this shotgun to make entry into the Beretta world as painless as possible, so I don't expect it to last long. Questions? Please ask. No sales to CA, AK or HI, or where this shotgun might be considered illegal.

Payment is by USPS or other money order or cash. I must have a copy of your FFL before shipping unless you're in Florida and want to pick it up in person. Shipping cost will be actual amount.

25 detailed pictures, including my validation photo, can be see in my SGW gallery here: http://www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/cpg1410/thumbnails.php?album=1099

What a great deal, the elusive sub $1000 over and under that will actually last. Someone’s going to be happy by the end of the day... I wish I needed it :)

Thanks for the kind words. It's a great shotgun and was my entry point to Berettas. Only problem was that I bought it from someone sight unseen and it doesn't fit me well. Lesson learned.

I seriously considered getting an adjustable comb put on the stock, which isn't terribly expensive to do, but I really hated the idea of altering it. I would rather see it go to someone that can possibly use it the same way I did (only with it fitting them better!) to enter the Beretta world.

This would be an ideal teen or ladies first shotgun, for sure. It's pretty light compared to others I have, and easy to handle. That and the cost of entry can't be beat, too!

Does the stock have any "cast-off" (bent to the right) for a right handed shooter, or is it neutral (straight, not bent to either side) ? Weight?

Neutral. Weight is 6.7 pounds, I believe. Definitely lighter than my Lanbers which are over 7 pounds.

Currently spending winters in Venice. Actually grew up in Belgium, WI, and went to us in Port. I'm traveling for the next week but if you still have when I return am definitely interested.

Will do. Sent you a PM.

I built a house in Port in the early 90s on the bluff off of Noridge Trail. Loved that place, would love to return on a seasonal basis, for sure. Still get "care packages" from Bernie's every now and then....

Congrats.

That is a great gun and a screaming good deal.

One would be nuts to buy a Turkish made O/U when these kind of deals show up on B guns.

Thanks!

Yeah, I'm just surprised at the blue book values on these, as they don't seem to be realistic based on what I've seen them sell for. That is, book values seem to be much lower than what the market reflects.

Congrats. You had a fair price on it. I think with the Internet book values are only one measure. I think your have to check both the book and actual Internet sales to come up with a price fair to both seller and buyer.

Someone sent me Blue Book values suggesting that they would be interested at those amounts. I think that 100%, which this gun was not, was something like $600.00.
Where they found a really nice Beretta 686 for $600 is a total mystery to me.

It’s almost like Kelley Blue Book for cars - it favors the dealers, not the seller.

The market has spoken, and it’s ckearly not what Blue Book says. At least not in this case, unless it was an outlier, which I really doubt.
