my uncle has a savage/stevens model 940c single shot 20 gauge shotgun, and its firing pin broke. he has no internet so he asked me if i could find and order a spare firing pin for him, but i have no idea where to get one. is there anyone here that can send me a link to a reputable site where i can find one?

Several models of the Stevens 940 at e-gunparts, aka Numrich Arms. I don't see the 940C, but the firing pin may well be common to all/most models. Check here:

Numrich doesn't list a "940C", but they do list a "94C", so this should be the part your uncle is looking for:

Should be part #6 in the schematic below...

...and will fit Savage/Stevens 94C (+ M,K,& P series).

Edit: There's a Savage/Stevens/Springfield 940 (no series C listed), which is a different gun altogether. The FP for that one is:

thank you much FMD. you were right it was the 94c. that is probably why i couldn't find what i was looking for.
