My 1300 Coastal came in today. A little while latter the big brown truck showed up with the Knoxx SpecOps stock.

Installation of the stock was stright foward. 10min job to do and 10min to gather the tool's.

In the factory configuration the SG is 39 1/4in long.
With the SpecOps installed an shortened to the max it measures 37 1/2in. It fit's me like a glove.
Now to tear it down and clean it and then.

I picked this one up last month. For a used shotgun, it showed absolutely no signs of wear. I'm assuming I did well for $250?

Here is my 870 8+1

I bought a side saddle for it yesterday, but when I put the screws through it to hold the saddle on the bolt would not slide all the back? It lacked about 1 inch or more to eject the shell.

So I backed out the 2 screws pretty loose and it did not help.

I found out it is the front screw that stops the bolt from coming all the way back.

I am gonna get some ghost rings/sights with a sure fire forend with in the next few days...but this is a start I suppose

My first post... I've been lurking for some time in order to listen and learn. Having soaked up a fair amount of knowledge, I set about to build my own tactical shotgun and here is the result:

There is nothing extra fancy or unique about my build. I tried to use the basics.

-The shotgun is a Remington 870 Tactical Magnum w/ a 20" bbl. and factory magzine extension, to which I have added the following:

-Surefire 6v forend
-Vang Comp dome safety
-Trijicon/Scattergun Technologies ghost ring sights with front and rear tritium inserts
-Brownells aluminum orange follower
-TacStar six round sidesaddle carrier
-Daniel Defense 870 Burnsed Loop Ambi sling mount (I shoot lefty)
-Wilderness Tactical single point sling with SPQD adapter
-Traded out the OE SpeedFeed IV stock for a SpeedFeed IV-S with a SpeedFeed SWAT butt plate for an approx. 12" LOP.

I love this shotgun. It is very accurate with consistent head shots at 35 meters using both Remington Slugger slugs and Remington reduced recoil slugs. It patterns tightly with Remingotn 00B. The Winchester 00B I have tried did not pattern as well.
