And when did it begin ? The days when Walter, Edward R. or Eric Sevareid said something it just was accepted as “the way it was” are gone. Were we fooled and they were as bad as what we have now ?

LBJ said it was over when he lost Cronkite. Can you imagine anyone having that kind of trust ? Maybe it was misplaced.

I think the 24 hour news programs did it in. They had to fill the time and found out the crazy stuff sold soap.
