Back to the original question. Answering every question with a question is part of an old, well established debating technique which was once taught to high school students. It teaches to never let your opponent put you on the defensive. When you are on the defensive, you can't attack & you can't ask questions. How do you respond to the lawyer that asks, "why do you beat your wife?" It can be both a successful defense or a tactic to avoid the question. Debating 101!

Sure, just go to one of the shotgun forums & talk. "Why do you beat your wife?" Nobody is saying you do. That is typical of a tactic lawyers use in court to discredit witnesses. One way you could answer would be, "What makes you think I beat my wife?" Obviously, since you don't beat your wife there is no answer to the question of why. Remember, we are talking about "Answer every question with a question". You could also refuse to answer the question or simply say, "I don't beat my wife." Why do I suspect you already know all this? I am not qualified to tell anybody how to respond to a lawyer's questions in court, just food for thought!

And then there is the way the intellectually lazy deal with questions that don't jive with their most basic beliefs. Things that leftists will not allow others to know about them.

Questions like- Why do you love America?

They just ignore that one, change the subject like "Boy it's hot today! How about that global warming?"

Are you shooting skeet and killing squirrels at the same time? Shouldn’t this be in the small bore forum?
