Hi all -
Quick question, I recently got a Benelli M2 American, and ordered a Flush Benelli Branded Trulock full and improved cylinder chokes. I noticed that those are about a sixteenth to a tenth of an inch below the the end of the barrel when screwed in. The modified tube that came with it sits more flush. Will this cause problems when I use these? Can barrel damage occur? Has anyone noticed this?

Sir, While it is not uncommon to find flush chokes that seat slightly shy of the muzzle, one that is 1/16 to 1/10 of an inch is in my opinion an excessive amount. Has to be one of two things, either we made the choke short or the barrel counter bore is to deep. If you have access to a digital or dial caliper please measure the overall length of this choke and send the measurement you get to me via email at [email protected] If the tube is short I will send you another at no charge. If the counter bore is wrong you would need to take that up with Benelli. I will be out of the office attending the NWTF Sport Show from 02/15 and will be back on Monday the 19th. If you cannot measure the choke for some reason you can send it to me and we will check it for you.
