I've noticed a few choke manufacturers offer a 2" extended choke. Why would you want a 2" extension? What are the benefits of this type of choke?

No inherent benefit to extra long extended chokes versus other extended chokes.

If no benefit, why are they produced/offered? It seems there would be a reason someone would prefer a 2' extended choke to a 3/4 extended choke.

Some claim longer taper section and longer parallel section for better pattern. Extended chokes have patterned better for me with steel shot.

The performance of a choke is governed by several design factors. Some designs give consistently better perfomance with longer extended length while some designs give no performance improvement with length, and some have been shown to be counterproductive with additional length. And...some is more marketing than anything. Furthermore, all of it is dependent on the gun, ammo, game, goals, and expectations of the user.

The same reason that everything else that does nothing measurable is offered.
