Hello All,
Please welcome our new Waterfowl forum sponsor, Delta Duck Hunts.
Quote:
Welcome to Delta Duck Hunts, located at the top of the Mississippi delta in Tunica, Mississippi, and in the heart of the Mississippi Flyway. We offer both guided and unguided waterfowl hunting on exclusive private leases which are located adjacent to, or near, the Mississippi and Coldwater Rivers. The Mississippi Delta is well known for it's natural beauty and it's high concentration of waterfowl.
We offer thousands of acres of private land with a variety of quality waterfowl habitat. While it depends on where the ducks are working, you could hunt any of the following habitat: flooded rice and soybean fields, flooded timber or natural sloughs and breaks. We offer hunting with easy access from a pit, brushed sled blind, coffin blind or standing timber.

Click http://www.deltaduckhunts.com to see more of what they offer. When you book a hunt be sure to tell David that you saw it on Shotgunworld.com.

Welcome Dave, and thanks for sponsoring the forum. I'm glad to know that there are people with access to private land making it available to hunters who are finding fewer and fewer space opportunities as time goes on.

Fellows I want to thank yall for the positve feed back on the site. I have had e-mails from all over the country about updating the Photos of each hunt daily.

We had a record harvest season. Thank God for the teal!!

Mallards were about 30% off. Teal were up 66%.

David,

Not sure if you remember us. I the one in the middle that did not dress like the others. I had a group from Universal Engineering from Florida come up to hunt. It was January of 2006 I believe, I could be wrong. We stayed at the Grand
Casino in Tunica. You shipped me some meat in a camo zip up cooler. I still use that cooler to hold drinks when I go out in the field. I hope all is well.

Jay thanks for the review, It was a good day for waterfowling. It always makes it special when someone shoots their first pintail, with a long mature sprig!

We're already booked to hunt the last weekend of the season. Anyone else booked with David yet? I wouldn't wait much longer.
Jay

We have a good front moving this week, Mississippi should have a good opening weekend!

We had a great waterfowl season!

The harvest percents were:

Mallards 40%

Teal 20%

Shovler 20%

Gadwall 7.5%

Pintail 5%

Wigeon 3%

Woodduck 3%

Had 4 banded mallards: 1 band per 257 mallards.

Had 1 banded Canada!

Had 1 banded Blue goose!

I want to thank all my customers, friends and my Guides.

It was a great year for the Mississippi Delta!
