Any guidance on recoil difference between XLR5 semi and tempio in 12 or 28 ga? We can reload so not worried about she'll cost just looking for soft shooter for wife. We don't have anywhere close to try the guns so looking for guidance and pros/cons to either approach. Thanks

The XLR5 is very soft shooting design. That said, my (very recoil sensitive) wife shoots a Syren Tempio Sporting and likes it a lot. First shotgun that she is comfortable with. I do load 7/8 oz low velocity (~1150 fps) loads for her and no recoil problems whatsoever. Very nice shotgun effectively designed to fit the ladies.

Get the 12 gauge in the Tiempo; it's more versatile and you can always accommodate recoil with the size of the shell load. I have one and shoot it out of the box, no modifications, with one ounce shells, and have no recoil problems. I'm 5'6" and 65 yoa. MAJ

Did either of you get a chance to shoot both?

I have a 20 gauge Summit Ltd. with subgauge (28 and 410) barrels as well as the 12 gauge Syren. My Summit Ltd. has a Ken Rucker BumpBuster adjustable recoil pad on it. The Syren 12 gauge, shooting 1 oz shells, has less felt recoil than the 20 gauge does, and I've never come home with a bruise from shooting it. MAJ

my wife has a Syren elos sporting 12ga, shooting 7/8oz 1200fps loads with no recoil issues, and had a young lady on the local high school trap team shoot it, she is very small framed and had no recoil issues.
