One of our SCTP team ladies is getting a Syren XLR for Christmas.

Any tips on cleaning/maintenance to keep it performing in tip-top shape? She'll probably shoot 3 to 5k through it by the end of summer.

I'm trying to be the person my Little Brown Dog acts like I am.

Hi Pintailwizard,

Fabarm has a video on cleaning and maintenance on their website. Since it's essentially the same gun that video should cover what she is looking for. Here you go.

Get rid of it! I've had mine since August 2016, I have ran about 25,000 rounds through it and it has been at the gunsmith three times.

Tips: clean the gas chamber about every 200-300 rounds, it will quit cycling, get a ultrasonic for your parts makes cleaning the gas parts much easier, have spare o-rings, run it dry otherwise it will quit cycling, I have to do a complete tear down clean every 1,000 rounds so mine will keep cycling. Needless to say I'm in the process of buying an O/U.

Also do not shoot it in the rain, it WILL quit cycling, to much build up in the receiver. And yes I do try to keep it as dry as possibly if I have to shoot in the rain.
