sernv99, the Pavillion pouch is flimsy in construction, no designed to stay open so you can get your hand in easily without feeling for the opening. The belt loop should be much wider to prevent the rocking of the pouch on the belt which makes it harder to find the opening also. You can tell which pouches were designed by shooters, which were designed by marketing people. I have a baggo Lonesome Charlie pouches, but some of those are soft and do not stay open, so they will never be my favorites. The stiff LC pouches are the good ones. A pouch that changes shape as the shells are used and the empty compartment fills up takes to much of your attention in the mental game of skeet. It reminds me of the shooter who wastes time with dry swings before calling when he should be developing his focus on the point at which he will pick up the bird. If you only have a few seconds to prepare for the shot, you shouldn't be distracted by the act of finding shells or a place to put your empties. The best of the best pouches have a divider that does not migrate from side to side. Al Ange, Gary Stevens, and Donnie Weaver have discovered this and make the most coveted and overpriced pouches on the market and can't keep up with orders. That is a clue.

I wished the belt loop was reinforced, I can imagine the stichting ripping in a few years from heavy weight hanging down from it, but it's nicely well made. anyone have opinions on Pavillion: http://www.gundogsonline.com/shooting-s ... pouch.htmlI have two of the Lonesome Charlie #144 soft pouches. Not really happy with them as they are narrow gussets and don't fit my XXXL hand. They are OK for .410 or other guges if you don't need a pocket for reloading. I bought the Pavillion/WildHare pouch a couple weeks ago and find it everybit as well made as the LC pouch. It is stiffer and much wider for my large hand. It stays open well. It works well for me. I like the narrow belt loop for a stiff pouch. I notice the belt loops on the round LC stiff pouches are narrow also. http://www.gamaliel.com/cart/product.ph ... 679&page=1

When I got back into skeet in 97 after a 30 year "break" i quickly realized I wanted to get some of the nicer gear for all the "stuff" I was about to accumuilate and transport to and from shoots. I did a bunch of research and decided to get my gear when I went to my first World Shoot in 99. Long story short I got a large personalized shoulder bag and a shooting pouch from Lonesome Charlie. The quality of the products, buying experience and service was awsome. Had to have the shoulder bag sent after the world shoot due to the engraved name on the top and some other custom work. Was promised the bag in 2 to 3 weeks and it arrived in 10 days. Have used the free yearly reconditioning twice in the last 10+ years and both times it was returned to new condition. The pouch is the large double broken target that has seen a lot of use and unintended abuse including many thorough soakings from shooting in light mists to downpours. It still holds the shape it was in when I got it. In reguards to the comment about the stitching and belt loop looking substandard its obvious you didn't look closely at the craftsmanship. Ten plus years and ALL my LC gear is as tight as new. There is higher priced more exotic gear out there as well as entry level gear. Dollar for dollar none is better than Lonesme Charlie and the owning experience is tops. JMNSHO Ric

yeah I tried his website, that's where I got his info from. I don't know who is using that cell number listed, the person on the voicemail doesn't state their name. I'll keep trying his cell but if anyone else has a good contact info, let me know.
Thanks.
